Video Club 2012/2013!

Hi all Video Club Parents/Students!

Thank you to all who contacted me with your transportation availability and club time requests. Club this year will start on Tuesday, September 11.

I am capping the maximum number of students at 10 per club session. A small teacher to student ratio will not only mean more individual attention for your child, but will also help each group form their own collective identity faster.

Below are the updated club times/rosters. Please contact me if you do not see your child's name, or if your child wishes to switch to another time slot. If a student was in club last year, coming consistently through May, then they were automatically added to their usual day. I have tentatively added new members to an appropriate age-group slot; please contact me with any concerns.

Mondays, 4-530pm, High School group: Bobby N., Joe M., Adam R., Stephen G., Erica S., Jack S., Isaac W., Matthew B.

Tuesdays, 230-4pm, New Middle School group: NEW TIME SLOT! open to 6th-7th graders new to BATV: Bryan M., Joey V., Shawn B., Logan S, Joseph D., Dylan E.

Tuesdays, 4-530pm, Middle School group 1: Faith B., Faith Anne S., Christina G., Christina F., Chris C., Josh S., Hannah M., Donovan R., Jonathan C., Hayden L., Katherine S., Adria O.

Wednesdays, 4-530pm, Middle School group 2: Neil M., Phil C., Sam L., Sarah B., Anni G., Tomas G., Tyler S., Abbi D.

1 evening per month, rotating weeknights: 4th-5th graders new to BATV, 90 minute workshops!: Tom B., Sylvan C., Bryce M., Ryan D., Kara S., Paige S., Maddy D.

In addition to weekly video clubs, and our normal annual programs (Enrichment, Locke History projects, High School Media Literacy training), there are ample ways for youth to be involved with our facility. An exciting addition will be our youth voter initiative, with the hope that older students will host a town-hall-style debate with the local Selectman candidates next spring. Throughout the year I will send out emails about special projects, like: Holiday greetings, BATV's Haunted House, regional film/video festivals, etc. I'm always open to new ideas, and am dedicated to nurturing and strengthening our program here!
